Summer Fete Success
The sun was shining on West Dean last
weekend for another successful Summer fete. There was fun for everyone,
from the spectacular maypole routines to the stalls and activities.
Thanks to everyone's hard work and efforts, we raised £4,623.92.
Storyteller Kick Starts Our Africa

It’s that time of year again when pupils
immerse themselves in a whole school topic. This year, it’s Africa and
to get things started, the celebrated storyteller Charlie Wilson came in
to share tales from the continent with us.
Books for Africa
Many thanks to all of you who helped us
collect books for the Chichester Rotary Club Africa Book Appeal. Between
us all we’ve been able to send ten boxes (approximately 300 books) to
fill the shelves of schools in South Africa.

Crowned West Sussex Road Safety Quiz Champions
In a tense and nail-biting final at Horsham's Capitol
Theatre, the West Dean team triumphed over the other top 20
highest-scoring schools to win the annual West Sussex Road
Safety Quiz Championship.
Upper School Visit A
Museum & End Up In Prison!
Upper School spent the day in London recently. First,
they visited the Science Museum and the fantastic 'Launch Pad', before
enjoying a coach tour of the city sights on the way to the BBC Studios
for the recording of an episode of 'The Slammer'. It was a wonderful day!
